I've Arrived!

Here are some things I've learned and observed in the jet-lagged ~14 hours since arriving in Northern Ireland.

  • Ireland is, in fact, very green. It's just like everyone says it is.
  • It's BEAUTIFUL here! (Pictures to follow...)
  • A "Bacon Bop" is a bacon sandwich (except this bacon is more like what Americans call "Canadian bacon"). The one I had today also had a tomato chutney on it.
  • "Bop" = Sandwich
  • "Wellies" = Rain Boots
  • Jet lag is lame.
  • YWAMers are SO KIND!
  • In this country, where it is customary to drive on the left-hand side of the road, slow traffic on the highway keeps left. Passing happens on the right. (I guess that makes perfect sense.)
  • I forgot to ask today which side the clutch is on, but I'll find out soon.
I don't remember my other observations... Goodnight!

  1. Just to let you know... I actually read your blog! Yay! So keep posting!!! I love the "bop" term. I think I'll have to use it when munching on my favorite turkey bop. :) So glad you made it safe and sound!

  2. This gives a whole other meaning to The Hanson's "Mmmm Bop." Much yummier :) So glad it's green and kind there. Praying for you everytime I walk by our fridge.
